3D printing recommendations

When preparing the print file, we recommend positioning the part vertically and at a slight backward angle on the print bed to ensure the flexibility and strength of the mounting clips on your wheel center. You will need to configure support structures throughout the part to ensure successful printing. We recommend using ABS filament, which is better suited for automotive applications thanks to its resistance and durability when exposed to moisture and sunlight.

Customization recommendations

The BBS wheel center caps are specially designed to be painted, allowing you to achieve a raised, three-dimensional finish. It is important to prepare the surface carefully by sanding it very lightly to obtain a smooth, clean finish.

Apply the paint in your chosen color to the part, taking care to preserve the raised surfaces of the BBS logo.

After taking all necessary safety precautions, pour a small amount of epoxy resin mixed with the colorant of your choice into the recessed areas of the raised BBS logo, making sure the resin does not overflow.

Once the epoxy resin has fully cured, apply several coats of clear varnish to achieve a glossy finish with an attractive contrast between the chosen colors.
